MY PRIORITIES
I’m running for the State Senate to ensure residents in District 11 continue to have access to great schools, quality healthcare – including reproductive freedom – and fair tax policies. My priorities reflect the needs and desires of voters in District 11.
My parents were public educators and throughout my life, preached the importance of a strong education. As Senator I will be a strong advocate for Kansas’s public schools and all of the students who attend them. I’ll fight back against policies that send public tax dollars to private schools and that interfere with the work of our amazing educators.
REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM
In 2022, Kansans spoke loud and clear that they did not want politicians in their exam rooms. I believe that every person deserves the right to control their body, health and future. As your state legislator, I will be a strong advocate for reproductive freedom and fight to protect essential health care every step of the way.
HEALTHCARE
By not expanding Medicaid, not only is Kansas losing out on billions of dollars, but many Kansans now have to drive hours to receive basic care, stressing the healthcare system even in areas like Johnson County. As Senator I will vote to expand Medicaid and increase funding and access to all kinds of healthcare, including mental health services.
GUN SAFETY
I am a strong proponent of common-sense legislation, including background checks and safe storage regulations. As your legislator, I will prioritize safety and ensure we have reasonable, pragmatic gun legislation.
PUBLIC EDUCATION
FAIR TAX SYSTEM
Kansans deserve a fair tax system that invests in all families. In the Legislature I will fight for a tax code that strengthens everyone’s pocketbooks. With skyrocketing housing prices, Kansans across the state shouldn’t be priced out of buying homes to raise their families in. That’s why I will also support much-needed property tax relief and other tax changes with immediate, direct benefits to all Kansans.
