Karen’s values and life in Johnson County have been positively impacted by friends, neighbors, educators and colleagues from both sides of the aisle. She is committed to representing all Kansans, regardless of their party affiliation. She is especially interested in reaching out to voters who are feeling disconnected from today’s Republican Party. Karen believes that Kansans deserve to have policies, laws, and funding that are reasonable and reflect the real values that drive our economy and our families.

Karen is a long time volunteer with Lead to Read KC, providing reading and mentoring support to elementary students at high-need schools, and a more recent volunteer with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her children and their dogs - Tanner, an Australian Shepard, and Leo, a dachshund.
